Blackpool

Post  lass on Mon May 25, 2009 9:34 pm

Ian Holloway has been unveiled as the new manager of Coca-Cola Championship side Blackpool, signing a one-year deal, with an option for a second, with the Seasiders.

The former Queens Park Rangers and Plymouth Argyle manager has been out of work since leaving Leicester City last summer and he replaces Tony Parkes who left the club earlier in the week.

Just hope he can help them up.

Think a young Villa lad made the first goal, Barry Bannan. He is as small as one of QB's conquests on his dirty weekend

Brett Ormerod's 54th minute equaliser was enough to see Blackpool set-up two play-off dates with Nottingham Forest following a 1-1 draw with Bristol City.

An incredible regular season was capped off as the Seasiders guaranteed sixth place after coming from behind to cancel out Nicky Maynard's early strike for the Robins. The fact that Swansea failed to beat Doncaster confirmed Pool's place.

Way to go Blackpool

Great goal from Chris Cohen, always nice to see an ex-Hammer doing well. Think he was only 16 when he made his debut for us.

Is it just me, or has Holloway got a bit of a chip on his shoulder? Pool thoroughly deserve to go to Wembley, by the way. Well done them.

from people I know who have met and spoken to Holloway (including my daughter) he's one of the nicest blokes you could meet, he is 100% behind his team and is very well respected for it and generally down to earth person I am led to believe.
