Does he still play? He is so anonymous these days I've barely heard him mentioned.

He's done his bit for them to be fair..

Yaya Toure and Silva are the main men in midfield..

Would you take him back now?

Dont usually do this, but just checked his league appearances for the last three full seasons, they were 34, 33 and 34, the latter being in the season they won the premiership. So prior to this season (when he has been injured as well), he has missed 13 league games in 3 seasons. So now, please rell me who is the bellend?

Also he has played in 14 champions league games prior to this season, I note Joe Hart has played in 18 so suspect Barry has missed 4 games. You really are clueless aint ya Very Happy

Well that explains why they are cack in the CL then. Amazed he figures so much in the prem, I think when they move him on we might see a vast improvement from them.

How is Barry's international career progressing fellas? Top player, at the peak of his game and not even making the squad in a very middle of the road England team. How are Man City faring in the CL? Out twice at the group stage. Surrounded by 400 million quids worth of talent Barry is good enough to hold his own in the prem but top player he certain isn't. If Man city want to compete with the elite teams he must be replaced. Even you two mugs must be able to see that?

When fit he is selected for Man City despite the quality of their squad. His England career looks to be behind him for the same reason Rio Ferdinand's is. Are Shelvey,Cleverley and Livermore better players than him? I'd say no. Face it Willis, you are chatting utter shite. the Nashman has well and truly caned you here so take your punishment like a man not like a Flanagan. Boobies

You really are speaking shite here. Barry has been one of Man City's most consistent players for the past few seasons.

This season he seems to be struggling for a form a bit after coming back from injury, but the previous seasons and medals he has won have completely justified his move to Man City.

I can't speak for everyone but i'd have Barry in my best Villa side since '92 and of the midfielders we've lost in the past three years he'd be my first choice if we were to have one back.

It would be Milner back for me, but only because I think Barry doesn't look as effective this season after his injury, the previous seasons it would have been Barry every time. Quality played for us and Man City

I don't think Milner has ever looked as good for City as he did for us. Maybe it's down to having a more prominent role in his Villa career than he has in his time at City? Anyhow, i'd go for Barry as I think he'd be ideal to play alongside or behind Ireland.

Very Happy Only Villa jwnders have so much high praise for Barry - no other supporters pipe up with the sort of tosh I read on here. As I said at the beginning of this thread I like Barry and he is my favourite player since Cowans at VP. But I also recognise his limitations, certainly at the top end of the game he isn't good enough, its simple as that. If Man City want to start doing something against the top teams in Europe, Barry has to be replaced. Maybe if Mancini had already done so they wouldn't be staring at an away trip to Trabzonspor this winter.
