Not a chance of that happening. From Valenica to Liverpool, both massive clubs, to little old relegation troubled villa. yeah right. dream on

Mikey, you do cheer me up.

It's only paper talk, Villans. I wouldn't get too flappy about it just yet. Remember SSN & MON a couple of months ago?

christ ye lads have an awful high opinion of your club. quit living in the past *we won european finals 30 years ago* boo hoo time waits for no man.

if a manager that has won la liga, champions league, comes second in the premiership isn't good enough for a relegation threatened team then no one is.

You just answered your own question. When the hell has Rafa been in a relgation battle with a team? Never. So, I can't think, for the life of me, how a manager like Rafa, who made Liverpool play some of the most shite, most boring football I've ever seen in recent times, would benefit a club like us, in the position we're in?

Yeah he won the CL, but in that game it was his tactics that failed and made AC Milan go 3-0 up at half time. Steven Gerrard was instrumental in that game as it was his rally call which fired up the team at half time. They went on to win the cup, but that was because of the heroics of Jerzy Dudek, Henchoz, Gerrard, and Smicer. That same year, they didn't even finish in the top 4 CL places to defend their trophy, but still got to play in it via a decision through Fifa. Never rated Rafael Benitez to be honest, and neither did my Liverpool supporting mates.

Too many flop buys. Selling Alonso, to replace him with Lucas/Aquillani. Buying Glen Johnson for 17.5 million, Not buying a striker for 2/3 seasons to help Torres, etc etc. Look what happened at Inter? Jose Mourinho gave him a CL winning side, a team that shut out Barcelona in the semis, and basically flopped by Inter's standard. He's even more big headed then GH.
