Jay - it wont be a surprise if Ireland is shit Mad . I hope the penny has dropped and he finally realises he has to work to get the most out of his undoubted talent cos if he does, he could be a top talent.

Would love Ireland to fullfill his potential but not sure if he will.

He's a luxury player. Can't play him in 4-4-2.

Also a very big season for Gabby. He needs to show he is a top player..

Don't think we have a holding midfielder strong enuff for a diamond. ESP if Ireland doesn't get stuck in. Milner alongside Parker would be good in that but that's just a dream.

Not sure any of them are strong enough to play behind Ireland. ESP Petrov.

Really hope Makoun settles n gets used to pace of Prem. Has great passing ability and would be a very good player for us.

Ades, I think Clark could certainly do the job and even Makoun with the bit of experience behind him. Petrov may not be there long, though came across well again in an interview on Friday. Gets a lot of stick, but good clubman

He is a good club man. Rather then sell him for 2M or less he is worth keeping.

Clark has a lot of potential and Makoun great passing. Just think with Ireland being a lazy Cnut it leaves midfield weak.

Hopefully Delph stays fit too. He can be a kep player this season.

Ades, i dont think things are as bad as made out in some quarters, so long as Mcleish brings in a few good experienced players. Some good players and some good youngsters bursting for a chance. Delph needs to stay clear of injury and can be a regular for us

I agree. We have some quality players and just need to add a few signings.

Given N Zog and one off Parker or Kranjcear would be great. Hutton could do a job and maybe we can but a CB too.

Hopefully Albrighton will flourish next season. Makoun n Delph make impacts as there abilities suggest. Clark develops and Dunne gets back to form.

Bent will score goals and hopefully Gabby will be on his game.

I know it's just a paper report but if it's anywhere near the truth then we've just given up.

No wonder the likes of Warnock are back in the fold.

This is the 5th or 6th summer transfer window since the birth of jwned, isn't it? Every year, you Villans start off all rwarrr and then gradually lose the will to live. Oh, and you always sell a key player, and then get all excited about a possible last minute signing. I expect it's the law.

The difference this year is that RL's money has all dried up. Until be sells us on again we 'll be working on a very modest budget. If Downing leaves we'll have a bit but otherwise it will be use what have, bring through some of the kids and just essential signings like a keeper.
