Fixtures

Post  villainies on Fri Jun 17, 2011 12:49 pm

Two tough runs:

17th Dec. Liverpool at home
21st Dec Arsenal at home
26th Dec Stoke away
31st Dec Chelsea away

24 Mar Arsenal away
31 March Chelsea home
7 Apr Liverpool away
9 Apr Stoke home
14 apr Man U away

That run in March/ Apr is a stinker.

Considering some of the stick that people on here gave O'Neill, it's going to be an absolute blood-bath when things start going wrong for McLeish.

I'm looking forward to it Very Happy

When eck spunks untold millions on feckin useless players and fecks off 5 days before the season starts he'll get the same treatment as that asshole MON. Until that point he has my complete support. Welcome to AVFC Alex McLeish, the greatest club you'll ever manage. UTV

Not too tough.

You'll be glad of a point from that.

Not really.

Beat Arsenal and Liverpool in the last couple of weeks in the season, drew against Chelsea earlier on, Stoke seems to be our bogey team. I reckon we'd be happy with only 4 points from the above fixtures. I'll bump this post when it happens, QB take note!!! What a Face

Not sure what our squad will look like when we play them, but we've always got more then a decent chance to grab results against the big clubs. We've had our fair share in the last couple of seasons.

Remember who your manager is now, Jay. Wink
A mid table team can't realistically expect to take any points out of that aside from the Stoke game.

So you are saying he is shite then Wink . Lets hope he makes a better fist of it than the last Scottish centre half to manage the club, albeit he was from the better side of Glasgow.

.....Except the fact that we have taken points from them in the previous seasons?

Don't think one 9th place finish defines us as a 'mid-table team' either tbh.

We beat Arsenal and Liverpool in our last two games of the season. We drew at Chelski last season, so your comment dont really make much sense

Are you for real?

Lets try the top eight then the middle four, then the bottom eight.

If 9th place is not mid table, where would you place it?

Top 9....... Middle 2, then bottom 9 ?

To be fair Jay when we beat Arsenal on top of two excellent goals by Darren Bent the ref must've been a Spurs fan.Liverpool didn't have anything to play for either.Anyhow from those four games i fancy a draw against Liverpool and lose the other three.
