An oddly worded announcement by the club, I think.

It's a brilliant statement by the club. "No need to worry, previous board members have been arrested before."

Seriously though, I dont think there is anyone that's surprised that he is been investigated and it makes you winder what the criteria is that the Premier League insist on for owners of Premier League clubs.

Arrested by the narcotics team.

I wondered if he was on drugs when he bought the Blues!

Money Laundering... that carries a serious penalty in Hong Kong and they don't generally press charges unless they have solid evidence. Looks like Brum are going to be looking for a new owner pretty soon.

I bet Mcleish had an idea what was going on and jumped before the story blew up..

Well we haven't paid you anything yet, and its all gone a bit quite on the whole "telling the premierleague on you" from Mr Pannu. Although these things take time I suppose so lets wait and see huh?

I heard, not sure how true it is that McLeish had no say in the Marlon King transfer and didn't want him, which was the final reason that he left.

Time will tell I guess.

Exactly. Which is why I found your "especially as we ain't paying you jack shit" comment a bit strange.

As far as I understand, legal proceedings have been started to recover the money that McLies/Viler owe us as per the terms of the contract, which is £ 5.4 million.

Birmingham have started legal proceedings tis true. Villa's legal team say there is no case to answer though. So like I said have to wait and see.

At the end of the day i dont suppose the villa owner will give a monkeys tbh....his wealth far exceeds Mr Wong Chang and that would be a dip in the ocean for him....As for birmingham....they will be selling every thing from the kitchen sink to the plastic knifes and forks to pay of their debts

I would imagine that Blues' main case is for breach of contract by McLies and there is a severence clause in that contract citing the £ 5.4 million to be payed. McLies was quoted at the time of him signing this contract that the clause was in there to protect both parties. If Blues sacked him he would get compensation. If he left, then we would get compensation. It's pretty obvious that he was tapped up by Viler but whether that can be proved in court is a different matter. It may well get settled out of court for an 'undisclosed' amount.

Pannu's gonna get ya!

I doubt very much we'll be paying a penny to the nosebags. Pannu has got his knickers in a twist but i'm not sure they have a leg to stand on.

Because he resigned after comments were made about him by the board. IF he wanted to pursue it he could possibly get the Brum board for constructive dismissal..

First I've heard of it. What comments did they make about him that caused him to resign?

He quit because he has had a long running problem with the board, this is in the hands of his lawyers. Villa made an approach after he quit, no wrong doing there. Pannu is getting pissy about it but has nothing to back up any of his false claims.
