I have said before, I saw him in a bad in London once wearing a copy of the red Michael Jackson Thriller jacket, what a wanker.

I've obviously upset you into making up stories but I can categorically say i've never said Dunne is the best defender in the world and from the times i've seen Makoun and Bannan play, I can honestly say that yes Bannan is the better player.I don't think i'm alone in that opinion either, nor would i be the only one who thinks Dunne has played well in his 4 games this season.

Looks like the Jenus rumour is bollocks then -

BBC Sport's Leon Mann reports: "I'm told by very close course to Jermaine Jenas that rumours of him moving to Aston Villa aren't true." So there you go.

Dexter from Chester via text: "My girlfriend has just txt me and she seems to think James Milner has signed for Liverpool. She knows absolutely nothing about football and I have no idea what her sources are but interesting nonetheless."

Given is better than Friedel and I reckon Hutton is better than Luke Young, who wanted to move south anyway. We obviously are going to miss the two wide players, hopefully N'Zogbia can fill one of those gaps and we can make do or play another system. NRC wanted £50k, with due respect he aint worth that and Jenas will get more goals and be a box to box player as well, something we need. The youngsters are a year older, so surely it is not all doom and gloom

1325 FOOTBALL: Aston Villa manager Alex McLeish has confirmed he made an unsuccessful attempt to bring Rangers midfielder Steven Davis to the midlands club before the transfer window closed.

Villa are counting on Zog to fill Downing's shoes, something I hope he can do and either Albrighton or Bannan to fill Young's which is a big, big ask. Middle of the park is two from Delph, Petrov, Ireland and Jenas none of whom I think are strong enough defensively or creative enough going forward. In the middle we are Temple of DOOMED.

Glad that didn't come off, I have never really rated Davis.

Just had that one really good season, but then everyone else was really crap that year so probably made him look good.
