If he does it against a bowling attack that has more potency than a gnat bite then he'll have answered some of his critics.

The bowlers won the game for England, Cook and Bell just completed the formality.

What game were you watching.... Everyone is critical of this bloke but it always seems to be him that igs us out of the shit... The player who has problems is KP.... only ever seems to get an innings when there is money at stake

The game where England's bowlers took 20 wickets on a pitch that only really did anything the first hour of the day? If any one player won the match for us, it was Stuart Broad.

Also of Bell's 16 test centuries (a superb record - no-one's ever questioned his talent just his mentality) only 2 have come without another player not scoring a century before him. So no, he's not the one always digging us out of holes.

How many holes have we had in the last few years??

Wouldn't be No.1 in the world if no one else was making centuries.. 16 centuries can't be knocked.. give it up Jesus.. he deserves to be in the team and has played his part in us being No.1

Didn't say that, he fully deserves his place and is an excellent batsman. Just needs to prove he can do it against the big boys under pressure.
