Ryder Cup

Post  villanfromluton on Fri Sep 28, 2012 9:31 pm

Love this, but Olazabal has fecked up not playing Poulter and Donald this evening. Will be lucky to be 2 down by the end of the day. Westwood has been useless

Coaesart was a ginat, Westwood was useless as his partner. At least they won and give us a chance.

How good was that last night? Absolutely superb. Got to be one of the best comes backs of all time.

Also, layed USA to win on Saturday evening when they were 1.07 so I'm up £50.

Certainly was a great finale ROT, didnt think they had a chance being 4 down. Poulter was brilliant throughout

Absolutely fecking awesome. Great spirit to beat the US at singles let alone give them a hammering. Really find the US crowd objectionable, when it's here we're partisan, but we don't boo and there is good banter. They boo every good shot or hole won by Europe, not nice at all to watch. The first tee at Celtic Manor was a great atmos, at Medinah it sounded vile. Still, I gave up free flights tickets and accommodation to probably the best sporting comeback of all time and I am GUTTED.

Good question. At the time I was offered the chance to go I guess just coming back off holiday and work would've been a deciding factor. not to mention buggering off for a week and leaving Mrs v with a 3 and 1 year old. I won't be making the same mistake for Gleneagles!

It was a free trip to the Ryder Cup. Hopefully you will have grown some balls by Gleneagles.

How come you got offered free tickets?

Actually for Gleneagles we'll all go up. My Mum (retired)and Stepfather both work(ed) in golf so tickets for any events are always on offer. That's another reason I didn't accept, there is always next time. obviously it will be awhile before there is another one like that though.
