Thing is I don't think we ever gave the Hammers that much shit really, I think it was probably more to do with the fact you lot would bang on about how you was as good a team at times and we would just take a bit of delight in you showing your selves up as your team went down. You know things like how shit a buy Ashley Young was, some west ham player was better. Or how you felt you was a top 6 team that one year and just managed to stay up.

I certainly didn't start a thread on Facebook for everyone of your defeats like Mark does for us...

He even decides what I'm doing and how I feel, I see comments like 'I bet Jan is crying into his pint right now' or ' I bet Jan is on his 8th pint now' when I'm quite content and enjoying a couple of drinks with my mates. Its just a game, no need to cry Laughing

Well I'm looking forward to the game on Saturday, first game for me since Everton so hope it's better than that.

Normally a decent game against Arsenal at home, can't believe the last time we beat them at Villa Park was when Santa fell off the roof, however more surprising was Collymore putting a shift in in the second half.

It's certainly up there in games I've been at Villa Park for, strangely another one I think you mentioned the other day, Athletico Madrid was another game that Collymore tried in. Think they are the only two, guess it shows how good he could have been. To$$er.

He had a stormer against Liverpool as well if my memory hasn't failed me. Think he got two. Think that was the game when he said Steve Harkness called him a 'coon' so he got himself sent off in the return fixture for twatting him. That will all need clarifying as it's 15 years ago and i've been pissed a few times since then. Collymore, biggest waste of talent in a Villa shirt that i've ever seen.

In fairness to Atkinson he did produce for the 92/93 season and was a massive part in us winning the cup in 94. Never fulfilled his talent though. He should've have played at the very top of the game.

Yes, he did, however probably not over the Christmas period as he was never a fan. He could have been an absolutely top player though but didn't have dedication, he scored some corking goals and could hit so hard, them two against Sheffield Wednesday I think it was.

If Collymore and Dalian had Heskeys application and dedication they would've been superstars..

Don't think so Lutes. Think the game you are thinking of was a season or two later. Dublin netted two but missed a pen putting an end to an unbeaten start.

Westwood was my MOTM, makes everything look so simple, brought up on the footballing philosophy at Crewe and it shows. Lowton continues to impress and Vlaar was doing well until his injury. Benteke started well but ot his best game to be fair. Excellent signings by Lambert and my glass continues to be half full. Only player yet to impress was El-Ahmadi, his performance werent all that and his dive was absolutely stupid and rightly booked. A player who I have doubts about is Clark, but he was excellent this evening. Bannan shit out of a couple of 50-50's, dont like to see that, but good battling performance and dont even think the muppets duo can complain they were kicked off the park by Villa

As I told you lads, I knew there would be no easy ride for The Arsenal at VP.
Your team has been showing good signs of improvement, the Man C game was a blip.
I could only listen to the game unfortunately.
What would I give for a YaYa Torre type in our midfield.
