Relegation Battle part 4

Post  villainies on Mon Aug 11, 2014 12:27 pm

So. Here it is then, the season Villa finally go down. The club is in meltdown and only a very quick sale can save us.

Randy has finally showed his true ineptitude by admitting defeat and going public with the sale before a deal was done. Clearly he doesn't want to spend money on something he is desperate to sell and he doesn't want to sack another manager who uner any other circumstances would've been shown the door on the final day of last season.

We've made several desperation signings and tried to re-introduce other players that had previously been completely excluded. I can only think Keane has been brought in to aid that transition and be in place for the innevitible sacking of Lambert when we're bottom come October.

At least Randy finally worked out that Faulkner couldn't run a piss up in a brewery, a shame it took him until we're on the brink of Championship football.

In short no leadership, no vision, no manager, no players. WE ARE FUCKED.

So Lambert's been given the elbow and Villa are in the bottom three. For the first time I reckon that Villa will indeed be relegated. Having seen them play recently and comparing them to the Leicester team I saw last night I'd say you're on your way out. It's sad but, depending on how it's managed it could be a good thing to escape from the mess you're in and spend a year in the Championship re-building, from bottom up. Good luck with that and here's hoping to see a revitalized Villa back in the Premier League in a year or so.

Not sure how demoting them to the Championship could be deemed to be an arse-lick but each to his own I suppose. I actually believe certain clubs somehow deserve to be in the top division - something to do with their history and what I've seen of them in my lifetime - a good Aston Villa would certainly fit that mould.

Jpr's arse-lick: "It's sad", "Good luck with that and here's hoping to see a revitalized Villa back in the Premier League in a year or so" and "I actually believe certain clubs somehow deserve to be in the top division - something to do with their history and what I've seen of them in my lifetime - a good Aston Villa would certainly fit that mould". Lick, lick, lick, lick, lick...............

What rubbish! Clubs are in the top division on merit, not because they used to be good 50 - 100 years ago. No club deserves to be in the Premier League unless they've earned it - not even Arsenal, despite what you may think. A 'good' Aston Viler deserves to be in the top division no more than a 'good' Burton Albion.

Meanwhile it's Tim Sherwood for Chrissake - still, I suppose he'll do a job in the Championship!

Funny fecker, ain't he? He'll fit right in there though. He and the club both think that they're better than they actually are.

He might just save us. I didn't think it was possible but he's got them fired up and playing a bit. Villa are too big to go down despite what tilts reckons. The top league would be all the poorer without great clubs like the villa

So you think Timmy Sherbert is your new saviour? I think you're wrong.

I'll tell you who's returned to save you from relegation once again: Lady Luck

I predicted this early in the season on another thread somewhere on jwned. She got you a few jammy wins at the start of the season, left you for a while, and now she's back to save you. It's the same every fecking season so nobody should be surprised. Without her you are nothing.
